Marbella Boutique Hotels

Are you coming to Marbella, but bored with the corporate banality of big chain Hotels?
Then the news that at least four new Boutique Hotels will be springing up in the Old Town of Marbella can only come as good news.

News coming out of the Marbella Town Hall is exciting indeed, with two famous landmarks on the Calle Ancha being reformed with multi-million euro plans.  The first will be to transform the old La Fonda, which in days gone by was indeed the jewel in the crown of the Old Town, with guests from the  Hollywood A-list like Sir Michael Cain, Deborah Kerr, Lew Grade, Jimmy Stewart, Brigit Bardot, and that's without naming the hoards of European Royalty that have graced its fabulous interior.

The other enormous reform, taking place on the same street has lain empty for as long as I can remember, 33 years, so you can imagine it wouldn't be in the best condition, but the foresight of the people at Rhone Property have deemed the 622 sqm property worthy of a multi-million Euro transformation into an 11 bedroom luxury boutique hotel called Maison Ardois, which should be open for business for this summer.

News on the other two hotels being built is a little sketchy at the moment, but I believe one will be the old Patio de Los Perfumes on Calle Peral and Aduar, a fantastic old house with a beautiful Andalus patio and the other is the Hostal Castillo on Plaza San Bernabe, overlooking the world-famous Orange Square.

Of course, www.myguidemarbella.com will be keeping abreast of any new news so you will be well informed of their progress and once completed and open you will find all of these hotels within our directory complete with videos, photography and the ability to book them directly with the owner!  If you click here you will be able to view a selection of other Boutique Hotels within the Marbella area that also meet with our approval!
