Keeping the children happy on holiday is often the deciding factor between what makes for a successful week away or one that finishes needing you to take another holiday to recover! Marbella offers many an adventure for youngsters to complement those days on the beach with bucket and spade in hand which whilst it may occupy them for most of the holiday does often need to be broken up with some other activities and fun times. Here we highlight a few of our family favourites however if you head over to the Kids Stuff section in Discover Marbella section you will see even more inspiration.
Marbella and Puerto Banús have been a popular destination for Stag and Hen parties for some time and some venues and activities are tailored quite specifically to this market. You can find all the options here https://www.myguidemarbella.com/marbella/stag-hen but this top 5 are some of our favourites and an essential part of any Stag or Hen party itinerary. Unlike stag and hen party planning websites with us you can contact the venues directly and make your own arrangements always with the assurance that they have been approved by the Local Expert team at My Guide Marbella.
Whether you describe being a foodie as someone that wants gourmet fine dining and Michelin star cuisine or more a case of appreciating the best quality ingredients, superb service and with a to die for wine list but perhaps a more simple setting we have put together our top picks of restaurants in Marbella that we believe tick the box!
There are a plethora of Beach Clubs in Marbella but not all of them offer an up-beat party vibe with some opting for a much more chilled out family-focused environment. We have created this list to help you to find the party zone on the sand you may be looking for that offer more of a daytime club atmosphere!
You will be able to book a bed at these venues and order food and drinks without needing to have a seat in their restaurants if you wish. All of them also offer drink/bed packages so if you book in advance you will always have a bit of a saving too.
Although we are blessed with warmth and sunshine 350 days a year in Marbella, during the winter months it is time for us to savour a slight chill in the air, a log burning fire and an excuse to have a good old fashioned Sunday Roast dinner of course with a glass of Vino.
My Guide has searched high and low to compile a list of the top ten best tasting, value for money, most traditional Sunday roast dinners in Marbella.

At some time of the day, we all need a good cup of coffee, from a Cortado Double to a Nube, Cafe con Leche to Cafe con Hielo, the choices for a really good cup of coffee are one of the best things about living Spain and are all part of the morning routine for most.
This is my pick for the best brews in Marbella.

The My Guide Marbella team make no secret of the fact that they love a good bottle of wine! This list includes restaurants that we believe have a well researched, well priced and extensive wine list as well as sommeliers that can educate and recommend the perfect bottle to suit your menu selection.
Marbella is known Internationally for its 5-star style and celebrity filmstar status but the real luxury is often hidden behind a bit of a bling exterior so this list includes some of the true luxury essentials if you want to sample the true Marbella high life whilst here on holiday!
Many visitors and locals alike prefer to dine a little earlier than the average Spaniard so the restaurants that offer an Early Bird menu are often popular. We showcase in this list the restaurants that we know offer a discounted menu from 5.30pm (6pm in some cases) to 8pm with a selection of starters, mains and desserts to choose from for a fixed price. A super way to sample different dishes from their a la carte menu at a reduced price which in our book gives you the excuse to order a decent bottle of wine from the wine list instead of going for the house!!
We love a beach club with a pool giving you the option to have a dip into the sea or relax in the pool! With the exception of Nao (which breaks the rules a little anyway as really it's a pool club and not by the beach!) all of these locations offer the best of both worlds with pool or beach options available. Ocean Club, Puro Beach, Nikki, Sala by the Sea and Nao are more adult-focused locations with more of a party environment but the others mentinoed are suitable for all the family. To request more information or to make a booking just click the links on their company pages are connect directly with their reservation teams.
If you are looking to plan that perfect romantic dinner for two then this list of our favourite restaurants for couples dining may help! We have selected these locations because we think they offer a little something extra; delicate lighting, sublime menus, super wine lists and real attention to detail with the service. They are also all locations that we know have had winning engagement proposals so if you are looking to pop the question or perhaps it's more a case of a birthday celebration for your special someone then these are all good choices.
Sometimes it's easiest to dine in venues where you can smoothly move onto the bar for after dinner drinks rather than have to venture elsewhere! We include here our favourite locations that offer a great vibe at their bar, some with live music or a Dj, as well as being really good choices for dinner too. Make life easy and try one of these venues for a great night of fine dining, fine wines and maybe some cocktails too!
Every trip to Marbella has to include at least a couple of nights dining under the stars with the heady scent of Orange blossom and Dama de Noche. Here is your guide to whats best in the Old Town, and even a few tips on what to miss.
Marbella Old Town is a foodie paradise, with something for everyone. It's always worth a good long wander to find your favourite dining spots, but I would recommend not getting too excited about the dining on Orange Square, it's a gorgeous spot but you will be better off for your sojourn to the famous square by just sticking to a nice coffee or ice cream and spending your food money on one of the amazing places on my list.
So you're on your Holidays, your better half has gone shopping, and your favourite team is playing a big game.

''La Paella'' is probably one of the most recognized traditional Spanish dishes worldwide. The name of this dish originates from the pan that it is cooked in. There are many variations of this dish, such as, seafood paella, meat paella, mixed paella, black rice paella and of course, paella Valenciana which is where the dish originates from.
Brunch Definition: Not quite breakfast, it's not quite lunch but it comes with a slice of joy, and usually occurring around the hours of 11:00am!
Marbella has some spectacular places to enjoy this special time of day and naturally, if you decided to add a few bubbles into the equation then it tends to feel even more special! With Spain being named the healthiest country to live in recently, you can bet your last clam, that a diet of fish has a lot to do with it, here you will find our top tips for finding your seafood prescription for that healthy helping of fish. Marbella locals or Marbellis as we are known will enjoy fish and seafood as part of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and our children also follow suit with a diet rich in fish and seafood; it's not an unusual thing to watch a 3 year old devouring sardines or peeling the meat from the fine bones of a salmonete or boqueron with their family at their local chiringuito! There's no fish fingers in site here when the kids know that the real thing tastes soooo much better!
We have included a selection that includes locations that are 'no-frills' as well as those that offer a refined fine dining experience because after all, Marbella has it all when it comes to gastronomy! Don't forget that if you just want a quick personal tip or some assistance with booking then we are always at the end of a telephone and very active in our social media channels so feel free to reach out to us!
Whilst Marbella is an all year round destination, certain businesses, Beach Clubs, in particular, will only open during the summer months. This doesn't mean that if you come here in November or March you won't be able to enjoy a fabulous meal on the sand and sip on chilled Rosé in the sunshine but the more party orientated Beach Clubs will not be open. We have prepared this handy list so you are clear what is NOT open from October through to May. You will also find all of the opening dates in our events calendar so you can check the exact opening dates for each business there.
Some other beach venues may just close for a few weeks in December and January but will otherwise remain open throughout the year whatever the weather!
We have several articles giving advice about where to go and what to do during our 'off-season' but if in doubt feel free to contact the local experts at the office for more help and assistance.
