Handpicked by a Marbella Local Expert, we bring you our guide to 'Top Picks for Things to Do with Teenagers'.
Travelling with Teenagers can present some challenges especially if you have a mix of ages in your family and are looking for activities that work for everyone at different levels. Naturally, this also applies to locals who are reading this and just looking for fun with their over 13s away from a phone or tablet!
These activities all need a bit of transport as they are not located in the centre of Marbella but have been tried and tested by my teenagers and very much warrant the short journey times. I know that different children have greater or lesser desires to be active but nothing listed here is particularly strenuous so suits different levels of fitness.
Sunview Park is Andalucia's longest zipline which is awesome for the adrenaline junkies as well as a centre for Archery and Horseriding so you can combine a range of activities to make for at least a half day of fun. The Alcazaba Lagoon is a full day out and a great alternative to beach clubs but booking is essential and then Aventura, Horse Riding and the Padel Club are more of a couple of hours of activity than full days. The Real Club de Padel has a large range of activities that are suitable for teens that can be paid per class, per week or per month if you are here for longer. The Marbella Buggys have been mentioned but you would need a driving license so depending on age it may be more of a joint activity rather than something that they tackle solo!
La Cañada was added to the list just because teenage girls more than boys do tend to enjoy a peruse around the shops and there is everything under one roof there.
