A charity set up to help children with special needs

A thousand neon clad walkers attended this year's IV Neon Night Solidarity walk for CADI, a charity set up to help children with special needs

Marbella, October 9th .- Solidarity once again shone for another year in the Neon Night Marbella solidarity walk. Since the early hours of the afternoon, the "neoner’s" (term coined to describe the participants in this initiative) approached the Terraces of the Marina where numerous entertainment activities were carried out prior to the scheduled kick-off at nine o'clock at night.

Getting closer to the time of departure, the phosphorescent lights were concentrated waiting for the start signal, in this edition given by the mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, the president of the CADI Association, Karina Milici and the CEO of the company that created this initiative, Elisabeth Op de Beeck.

After the start, an original parade of participants dressed in neon complements began the walk in the direction of the pier of the  Marbella Club Hotel, the turning point of the route to return again to the place of departure where thanks to many companies a raffle with presents what organised.

And so finished a night marked by solidarity, whose collection exceeded 5,500 euros. "Being an initiative developed in open space whose purchase of kits is voluntary, our benefits do not keep a direct proportion with the total assistants" explains Karina Milici, head of CADI, who is very pleased to celebrate this event "of vital importance" for the collective. "We are also very pleased to achieve another of our objectives, to raise awareness and give visibility to our children suffering from functional diversity and special needs," she added.

It is the final summary of a fourth edition of Neon Night Marbella that once again reunited families and groups of friends to enjoy a complete program of activities integrated by an exhibition of Karate, performances of Capoeira, flamenco and oriental dance, classes of Cross Fit and a display of the canine patrol of the Local Police of Marbella.
