Marbella Club Golf Resort
Marbella
The golf resort at the Marbella Club must be one of the most beautiful in Europe, enjoying a location of unparalleled beauty with views of the Sierra, Gibraltar, the African coastline and the Mediterranean.
Designed by Dave Thomas, the 6,809 yard course is spectacularly scenic with water cascades, undulating fairways and rolling slopes. Although large greens they require precise shots and become a real challenge to the player. The front nine provides the unique experience of three consecutive par 5’s, which not only represent a severe test early in the round but also offer some of the most picturesque scenery on the golf course.
Set in tranquil Behahavis, the golf resort is about 20 minutes from the Marbella Club Hotel and Puente Romano hotel whose guests have exclusive use of the course for morning tee times and preferential tee times in the afternoon.
After the game, relax in the thatched Club House, a cottage in the style of a hunting lodge overlooking the 18th green and on colder days there’s an enticing log fire beside which to sit and reflect on your performance over a well-earned drink.
Directions: On the N340 take the turn off at km 169 signposted ‘Benahavis’ between San Pedro de Alcantara and Estepona. Follow the road heading inland for about 3km and you will come across a turnoff to the left marked Marbella Club Golf Resort.
