Marbella, 13th of September, 2018.- The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, today showed the support of the City Council at the Trocadero Marbella Rugby Club in the presentation of the new season 2018 - 2019, an event that was attended by the Sports Councilor, Javier Mérida; the president of the club, Francisco García, and the Events director of the Trocadero Group, José Carlos Salamanca. The councillor assured that "it is a real privilege to have a club that transmits the values of the city and in which we recognize ourselves" and has underlined "the constant support of the Town Hall".

Muñoz has highlighted ''the great successes that the Trocadero Marbella has achieved in recent seasons and the great work it has developed with its pit, as was recognized in the last Sports Gala'' and said that "we are absolutely committed to the improvement of the club's facilities and we will be making an important effort in this area.''

Garcia thanked the City Council and the sponsors for their support and pointed out that "this is a special season as we enter our thirtieth anniversary and we want to take another step to continue strengthening the Club." He also highlighted the start of the activity of inclusive rugby on September 2nd and the launch of a section of women's rugby, two initiatives that, as noted, ''we demand in society and the club itself''.
