The hidden Treasure of the Costa del Sol is the best way to describe Monte Mayor Golf & Country Club. Taking a beautiful drive into the mountains straight through some of the best golf courses on the Costa, you can’t help it but stop once in a while to take in the breathtaking views you have from here.

Once at Monte Mayor, the setting is stunning. The restaurant has an idyllic setting and feels comfortable and welcoming. There is inside seating which is stylish and modern, and outside terrace seating, covered against the sun, with comfortable and informal furniture.

The service at Monte Mayor is second to none. Jose, one of Monte Mayor’s excellent staff makes you feel welcome, and at ease, whilst showing honest interest in his clientele. Not surprising, most of the guests coming to Monte Mayor Golf & Country Club are welcomed by name and surname, the staff seems to take great pride in the place they work in.

The clientele comes from a wide variety of countries, many Dutch people reside here but also German, English and Spanish guests have found their way to the impeccable Monte Mayor Golf & Country Club.

At the restaurant they serve a variety of small bites, main courses, and starters.

On arrival you are served fresh bread and olives while you look at the menu.

The breakfast menu includes the special Monte Mayor Omelette with Iberian Ham, cheese and bacon but also lighter dishes such as a rocket salad with prawns or a traditional Caesar salad. The perfect way to start your day of golf!

The speciality menu has some very traditional dishes and includes a cheese plate from La Mancha and Dutch fried meatballs! (bitterballen).

The Pastas on offer are all freshly prepared and you can fins Tallarines with Pesto sauce, basil & Parmesan with white cream and olive oil as one of the pasta options.The various sandwiches include a special caprice club sandwich with chicken, pesto and Swiss cheese, but you can also opt for the special Hamburger!

The option to have a sandwich platter for 2 with all the sandwiches presented is one that proves very popular and many will not be able to finish the plate!

Please note that the restaurant is open to the public at lunchtime.
