Taxi Information

Taxi's in Marbella are found at ranks in many parts of town or can be called to come to your home or hotel

By far the easiest option to get around the Costa del Sol is by using the Taxis. Compared to other destinations, taxis are fairly good value in Spain. You will notice that not all taxis are metered, but they will definitely have a booklet of official rates that are set by the local town hall. That said, if you need transport with a tight timescale, it would be best to book a car or minibus in advance with our transport partners. Just send them an enquiry and they will reply with a quote. For larger groups, it's a much better service than a normal taxi, and you can be sure to get to your destination, wedding or party on time! Taxis in high season in Marbella are unfortunately in such high demand that if you really do need to be somewhere for a specific time, then it may be sensible to book a private car rather than call the taxi line.

Generally, there are taxi ranks in every city centre. Bars and restaurants will be able to call a taxi for you. Or you can simply flag one down on the street. You will know that one is available when they have a green light on top of the vehicle, and the sign shows the word libre(free). Also, you can easily arrange for a taxi by calling any of the numbers shown in the table below.

Uber
Uber is now available on the Costa del Sol, which means you can now arrange to be collected from your location via the app, without the struggle of explaining in Spanish where exactly you are. Uber isn't necessarily cheaper than calling for a taxi, but it does have some perks depending on your needs. Before taking the final steps to book your Uber, you will be able to check the price of your journey.

Uber drivers in Spain aren't like the ones in the UK, they have to have an SP License.
It's always good to have a backup!

Cabify
You can order in real time or make a reservation via the Cabify app. They offer different types of vehicles (sedans, executive cars, luxury vans, taxis, etc), they even have bottled water at your disposal, and you are given the choice of what music to listen to on your journey.

In case of hitting traffic, you won't be charged more than the original price shown before ordering your Cabify. You also don't have to worry about carrying cash, as your payment will automatically go through your account.

Bolt
Bolt is a mobile app platform that allows users to book and pay for taxi rides. It offers a range of ride options—including standard, comfort, and larger vehicles—with pricing that’s generally competitive with other ride-hailing services like Uber.
