The Museo Picasso Malaga was opened in 2003 and includes a wide selection of works from Pablo Picasso that comprise the range of styles, materials and techniques that he mastered. From his earliest studies, through his take on the Classics, his perspectives on Cubism, his experiments in ceramics, the re-workings of Old Masters, to his last paintings in the 1970's, there is over 233 works in the museum for visitors to peruse.
The museum has a bookshop with a comprehensive collection of selected art publications and a café that is open daily from 10am until 30 minutes before the museum closes.
There are also guided tours available in Spanish and English, and every Wednesday at 11:30am, the museum offers free guided tours in English which is included with the price of admission. There are also group tours in different languages, gallery talks in Spanish and guided tours through selected exhibitions.
For students and researchers, there is also a large library and archive.
Ticket prices; permanent collections €6, temporary exhibitions €4.50, combined €9, free admission on Sundays between 6pm and 8pm. Under 18's go free.
