The Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving was inaugurated on November the 28th 1992, based on a first donation composed of 1,350 graphic works by contemporary Spanish authors.
Since its opening, and due to the express wish of its founder, the Museum has been a living center of reflection and action on art in capital letters, but also especially on contemporary Spanish art and fundamentally the world of original graphic work: exhibitions, national prizes of engraving, workshop of engraving, conferences, specialized library, etc.
The museum currently has about four thousand works made with various techniques: engraving (etching, dry ends, stenciling ...), lithography, serigraphy, xylography, additive techniques, as well as digital printing. To the collection of prints should be added an important fund constituted by the so-called artists' books.
