Clubs & Charities
The French Language Lions Club has a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, the association is best known for the fight against blindness, but we also work voluntarily in many kinds of actions in the community, including the defense of the environment, donations of provisions to people needy and help the elderly and disabled. This organisation serves young people. Their community-based social work often supports local children and schools through scholarships, recreation and support. Internationally, we offer many programs, including the Peace Poster Contest, Youth Camps and Exchanges, and Lions Quest. They also help people during disasters. By working together, their Foundation and Lions help communities as a result of natural disasters by responding to immediate needs such as food, water, clothing and medical supplies, and participate in long-term reconstruction efforts.
