Tai Pan

Tai Pan is without doubt the finest Chinese restaurant in the Marbella region. The decor is amazing, blacks and reds combined with wood and soft lighting, you will feel instantly relaxed when you walk to your table. It is situated right next to the Hotel Puente Romano, follow the steps down and it opens up onto a terrace that looks out over a luxurious pool and gardens.

When it comes to quality of ingredients, Tai Pan wins hands down over any other Chinese restaurant. Not only are the meats and fish fresh and tender, but so much thought goes into the presentation, rice ensconced in a lotus leaf and baked in the oven, sweet and sour chicken served in a hollowed pineapple with fresh vegetables.

We are amazed time and time again, and the piece de resistance was the fresh fish served in a light ginger and lime sauce.

Everything in the restaurant is about subtlety, elegance and discretion. The waiters appreciate your time and quietly pace themselves to your dining speed. Most surprising of all is the lack of flowery description in the menu compared to the work of art that comes to your table. Ask for sweet and sour chicken and you would never expect it to come in such a beautiful layout.
