Sukhothai is one of the best Thai restaurants in Marbella and a meal there is guaranteed to leave you completely satisfied. The purple modern decor with mirrored walls gives this restaurant all the cool, relaxed elegance it needs to make you feel you're somewhere special. Once inside, you'll find the atmosphere fun and heart-warming, friendly bi-lingual staff will help you with menu items. The menu itself is easy to understand and the selection is wonderful.
You can always tell a finer Thai restaurant because of the flavours that you can taste, a mix of fresh lemongrass, limes and chillis, none of them were too overpowering, all of them working together to extremely good effect. We were impressed by the beef penang curry, which was extremely tasty and not too hot.
The menu has a large selection of curries, drier dishes and seafood platters to suit all palates. Their take-away menu is identical to the restaurant menu, and can be downloaded here, so you always have the option of choosing from a wide range of dishes and dining in the privacy of your own home.
We recommend booking in advance, especially over the weekends as the restaurant is quite small and incredibly popular. You might find yourself waiting for some time if you simply walk in but you are served delicious prawn crackers at the bar and time flies by while you have your drink and glance at the menu.
