Sundown Sounds

The Ayuntamiento of Mijas has contracted Big M Promotions to put on some great live music every Thursday from May 4th in the small plaza in front of the La Cala de Mijas town hall building. Sundown Sounds is aimed principally at the tourists who are walking around La Cala center, on their way to and from restaurants and bars. Giving them, and locals alike, free entertainment at “Sundown”.
Each Thursday of the month from May at 8pm (9pm in July) “Sundown Sounds” will have a different artist performing either Jazz, Blues, Pop, Flamenco (dancers), Rock or Fusion.

Thursday 4th May – Jersey Boys tribute
  
Thursday 11th May – The Rolling Steves – 60s 70s 80s pop
  
Thursday 18th May – Southern Impact Duo – lively 70s disco dance music
  
Thursday 25th May – Missing 4th – Spanish trio playing pop and rock from the 80s
  
Thursday 1st June – Harry B Goode – Guitar vocalist, finger picking style
  
Thursday 8th June – One Wish Steve – singer/guitarist/entertainer  
  
Thursday 15th June – The Rolling Steves – 60s 70s 80s pop – They will provide sound & lights.
  
Thursday 22nd June –  Arte Azabache - Flamenco show – Dancing and music
  
Thursday 29th June – Memphis Trio – Rock ‘n Roll and Blues
  
Thursday 6th July – Southern Impact Duo – lively 70s disco dance music
  
Thursday 13th July – The Rolling Steves – 60s 70s 80s
  
Thursday 20th July – Magnet Man and Jens Malling – Reggae bands
 
Thursday 27th July – Nuria Lima – Jazz singer

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is found at the main Roundabout in the center of La Cala de Mijas, opposite Biddy Mulligans and at the side of the chemist. Plenty of parking is available in the fairground and in the local car park.
