Opera and ballet return to the Costa del Sol in style with Red Dog Cinemas,
Opera and ballet, although associated with the great theatres, can now also be experienced on the big
screen. On the Costa del Sol, Red Dog Cinemas, the leading cinema in Marbella, offers alternative
cultural plans that go beyond the seventh art, such as theatre, ballet, musicals and opera. Thus, the venue
located in Puerto Banús, resumes its commitment to opera and ballet, live from the Royal Opera House in
London, and offers an extensive programme that begins this autumn and will last until the summer of
2023..
The first work to travel to the screens of Red Dog Cinemas will be Mayerling, by the brilliant
choreographer Kenneth MacMillan, on 5 October. The prestigious British Royal Ballet will perform this
tale of love, obsession and political and psychological intrigue set in the Habsburg Court at the end of the
19th century and inspired by historical events.
In the same month, Aida, the great production by Robert Carsen, directed by Antonio Pappano, will be
screened live on Wednesday 12 October. Also, on Thursday 20 October, Red Dog Cinemas will be
screening La bohème, starring an incredible cast, with Juan Diego Flórez and Aylin Pérez in the lead
roles.
With the cinema, ticket customers can enjoy 3 hours of free parking.
