Pizzeria Picasso
Marbella
All we can say is, be prepared to queue. The line at lunch is a lot shorter than at dinner though if you want to avoid queueing.
Picasso's is always the busiest restaurant on the port, with queues of people waiting outside in the summer. The reason it's so busy is because it offers something that many others in Puerto Banus seem to have missed - great food at reasonable prices.
Picasso's does not accept reservations so it is very much a case of turn up and walk in or wait a little for a table.
They have a beautiful outdoor terrace in front of the restaurant, with lots of surrounding plant life which offers the perfect place to just relax, dine and watch the people go by.
Picasso's specialises in pizzas, open or closed and crepes, savoury or sweet. Starters include salads, bruschetta or a personal favourite, deep fried camembert (the healthy option). For mains there are pizzas, pasta dishes, steaks, pork chops, hamburgers, ribs and savoury pancakes to choose from.
The service is efficient and the food comes fast; it's a refreshing change to a lot of the restaurants on the front, and is great for either lunch or dinner especially if you are a larger party or a family with kids so make sure you book it into your holiday itinerary. They also do a fast takeaway service if you want to enjoy Picasso's in your own home.
And if you're looking for somewhere to celebrate your birthday, Picasso's is definitely a must, as the food, service and atmosphere is perfect for it. They have an upstairs dining room that can be hired out in its entirety, or they can section off an area for you.
